We have been involved in Family History foreer it seems--BUT we enjoy it. We were called to teach a Family History Class in our Ward. The day before the class was to begin we got a phone call from our Stake Computer Specialist and he wanted to know how we wanted the room set up for the computers. "COMPUTERS" Well that changed the whole everything. So we have had seven computers and we have taught a hands on course. It has been so fun!! The time is so short that every week was a challenge to work it out so we got everything in.
It has been a wonderful experience, and we have people wanting to know when we are going to start the next class. We were suppose to teach a class and then they were to move the computers to another building for them to use, but I guess they are going to leave us our computers and find some others for the other buildings. We just finished last Sunday. So I gave the Bishopric a list of people to call.
Besides this we are trying to get a few things done on our own families. I have found several mistakes in the church records and it is a challenge sometimes to get them straight.
The new online websites that are available now is really exciting. We had things ready for our class and went away for a week and came back and the whole website was changed....So if you go in there don't blink or it will be different. Anyway I found my Grandfather Crawford (Papa to me) death certificate in there and several others and printed them out. A sample is above.
